Secrets

Posted on Apr 7th, 2008 by Shanti : Wild Grace Shanti
The gift of darkness
softly burning
With nameless desire
The one I always longed for.

Old as time itself
Everything counts
but I forget again and again
to start again at one.

Forgiven for the sin of mortalitly
Selling sea-shells
empty souls
stepping softly through broken dreams
where the light streams
through the holes in the night sky
and nobody sees it but me.

Thanks for dropping by
This peice feels like it may still develop more.
It's a fun game to try to catch the feelings in the words.

And perhaps I have to change the last line to nobody sees it but me and Janek :)

But I thought if we are all one maybe I could get away with the personal vanity!

Thanks pretty eyes, killer smile, for you always have a way of chipping away my ego…  i want to be 'me'; and you want to make it 'we'… and in order to do that, i have to shun my 'I”ness….
Incidentally,  i see that you are working on my name too… Yesterday: janak, today according to Shanti: “Janek” and tommorrow ….. ? ? ? Janei…? ? ?. very well …. chip away….. {he sharpens her chisal as quickley as he can, for an opportunity to be sculptured by a master crafter like Shanti cannot be  missed.}

The gift of darkness takes me,
Slowly burning everything I am
until only this namelss desire remains.
The one I walways longed for.

Old as time itself
Everything counts
Still I forget again and again
To start again at One.

Forgiven for the Sin of mortality
Selling sea-shells
empty souls
Skipping lightly through broken dreams
Where light streams
through holes in the night sky
While God fills the hollows inside me.

Such is the mystery of life,
we always learn to go left after we know we weren't right,

But just like an ending to a movie made with time,
our lives will end too, hopefully with egos shattered in our minds,

if not in this vessal (BODY) then for sure in the next

He is the rewarder; your only true love of your life.

I'm sorry Janak but I don't really feel I understand what you are saying….
For me it really is a form of praise for the miracle of feeling,
The hole range of wonderful colours and experiences.
For me all Love is true, and such a beautiful force,
Be it for God, for another or for myself,
it all stems from the heart of oneness.
Blessings

I guess the comment fits at the beginning of the poem, may be not… what I’m saying i guess is that we bounce between positive and negative when the true path is the center, that where love resides…. infatuation (not love) turns into desire, which turns into hate when unfulfilled… make sense ? i didn’t think so too…. (you can delete the comments if you wish to : -)

Dear Janak,
The way I write is very open to individual interpretation.
But for me the true path can only be the one I'm on.  If it goess up and down and round and round I learn to enjoy the ride.
With Love
